About Dr. Gerard Genco
Dr. Gerard Genco comes from a family of dentists: his father, brother, two uncles and four of his first cousins, as well as his godfather are all practicing as well. Born and raised in Staten Island, NY, he earned his Bachelor of Science from the University of Scranton in 1990, where he played basketball and was the starting point guard for the Royals. Dr. Genco received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree in 1997 from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (now called Rutgers Dental School). After this he completed a one-year general dentistry residency at John F. Kennedy Hospital in 1998.
Dr. Genco and his wife Cathy Scoblick Genco moved back to Scranton with their eldest two children in 1998 where he began his private dental practice on Green Ridge Street in Scranton. Dr Genco has been practicing dentistry for more than 20 years and has dedicated himself to staying current with the latest and best dental techniques. In the spring of 2008, he completed a mini residency in advanced dental implant training at the Dental Implant Learning Center at Englewood Dental. Since that time Dr. Genco has participated in numerous courses honing his skill, expertise and knowledge. Dr. Genco began practicing in Forest City, PA in 2003 where he has worked tirelessly to “Keep the Smile in the Mile” for the last seventeen years. He also works at Casey Dental Care in Pittston, PA. Dr. Genco has been a generous sponsor of many organizations in Forest City and has donated his time to do school exams at Forest City SD.

Dr. Genco is a basketball enthusiast and enjoys watching, playing, coaching and talking the game with friends and family. He resides in Scott Township with his wife Cathy and their four children: Samantha, Jessica, Nicholas and Gianna and their two dogs Jinx and Winston.
