About Dr. Gerard Genco
Dr. Gerard Genco continues a proud family tradition of excellence in dentistry spanning multiple generations. Inspired by his father, Ernest Genco, his brother, Sal Genco, his uncles, Albert and Victor Genco, and four first cousins who also pursued careers in dentistry, he developed an early appreciation for the profession's commitment to patient care and clinical excellence. Born and raised in Staten Island, NY, Dr. Genco earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Scranton in 1990. He received his Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D) degree in 1997 from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (now called Rutgers Dental School). He then completed a one-year General Practice Dentistry residency at John F. Kennedy Hospital in 1998, where he further advanced his clinical skills and comprehensive patient care.

For more than 24 years, Dr Genco has been committed to providing exceptional dental care while continually advancing his education to offer patients the latest techniques and technology in modern dentistry. In 2008, he completed a mini residency in advanced dental implant training at the Dental Implant Learning Center at Englewood Dental. Since then, he has continued to pursue advanced training through numerous courses, further strengthening his expertise in modern dental techniques and implant dentistry. In 2002, Dr. Genco began practicing in Forest City, PA, where he has proudly served the community while helping “Keep the Smile in the Mile". Beyond the office, Dr. Genco has remained dedicated to giving back to the communities he serves by sponsoring local organizations and volunteering his time to provide school dental examinations for students in the Forest City School District.

Outside of dentistry, Dr. Genco is a basketball enthusiast and lifelong sports fan. He and his wife, Cathy, cherish spending time with their four children - Samantha, Jessica, Nicholas, and Gianna- and their two grandchildren. Dr. Genco can often be seen walking his dogs, Arlo and Winston, on Forest City's beautiful Rail-to-Trail.
